WBU Glen Mills & Newlin Grist Mill's Monthly Bird Walk at NGM

Once a month since the Fall of 2016, WBU Glen Mills and Newlin Grist Mill have teamed up to introduce the fun of birding and the joys of discovering the park's 100+ species of birds that call NGM park their home.  Together, Jessica of NGM and Chris, owner of WBU Glen Mills, guide participants around the park to encounter the birds and wildlife in their natural habitats while pointing out their distinctive behaviors and songs that help with identification of species. Monthly birders also get to be citizen scientists by contributing data to eBird, an international bird sightings database.

WBU has helped NGM’s birds take a bigger role in education by sponsoring the park’s bird feeding station, which is visited by students and families throughout the year. While the park's trails are currently closed for birding and all other activities, the staff is working hard to make sure that high quality bird habitats are restored and the best trails are available for exploration. You can help this process by donating today!

WBU Glen Mills is offering a cool bird feeding gift for the first fifty donors of the month if your donation is $25 or more.  To learn more about the gifts and how to donate, click here!
